Acer Aspire 5740G-6979: Good performance and reasonable price come together
Check out the Acer Aspire 5740G-6979, all purpose laptop which is based on Intel's Core i5 CPUs. The heart of this bulky laptop is the next gen Core i5-430M processor and ATI Radeon Mobility 5650 graphics and even though it comes in an attractive cobalt blue casing, you will be bamboozled by its thickness which is 1.5-inches and weight which is around 6.2 pound.
In terms of performance its pretty standard for a laptop of this kind and it was able to manage WorldBench 6 scores which can be considered to be just slightly better than the average. If you consider it for gaming then it tends to perform better. Connectivity is average as it puts to use Atheros 802.11n chip but I was surprised to find Bluetooth missing from it as it is ubiquitous in today's world. Just forgot to mention the price, it is $750 for this baby!!
